Erin Burch, Master’s Level intern
she / her
Life often presents unexpected and troubling circumstances, and my role is to help individuals and families navigate these circumstances and the range of emotions that accompany them. I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Agnes Scott College.
Prior to my counseling journey, I enjoyed a dance career that included years in contemporary companies, dancing for television and film, choreographing, training dancers, and serving as an adjudicator for competitive dance. My 12 years of experience working with individuals ranging from toddlerhood through late adulthood, paired with my love of supporting the growth and well-being of my students, has led me to pursue the path of mental health counseling. My extensive involvement in a field that requires so much mentally, physically, and emotionally has been a window into the experiences of struggles with anxiety, perfectionism, issues with self-image, boundaries, and finding balance.
Through dance, I have also been privileged to witness the growth, love, freedom, and joy that people experience when engaging with people and activities they enjoy. It is my honor to help people experience these feelings in their lives through my role as a counselor.
I believe humans have an incredible capacity for growth that can help us tackle negative narratives and reveal an inner strength that helps us face our troubles. My passion is helping others along their growth journey in creative ways that are uniquely meaningful for them. I am here to hold space for you and support you as you deal with the everyday stressors, the major life events, and the things that fall in between.
