When life feels painful it’s easy to feel you are in it alone. You don’t have to be. Therapy is place where you can partner with someone who knows how to help you make your life better. I deeply believe in the healing power of connection and together we will explore how to build something new in your life in a way that honors who you are and how you work.

I provide individual therapy to young adults and adults experiencing a range of concerns including substance use, trauma, difficult life transitions, and the unique stressors that men face and the not-so-healthy ways we deal with them. It is also common that you may not have your finger on exactly what you hope to work on, yet you know you are seeking growth and change. If that’s the case, therapy can be a powerful tool to help you clarify what you want and how to best get it.

I approach counseling from the perspective that you already have strengths and abilities that you can use to become your strongest self. Together, we find those strengths and put them to work towards your goals.  As part of this I often use Cognitive Behavioral therapy with clients, a technique that looks at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It’s been proven to be incredibly effective at helping people make changes in their life. In addition to being a National Certified Counselor, I have extensive experience in working with substance abuse and trauma including certification as a Master Addiction Counselor and specialized training in treating trauma and related symptoms with Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E).

If you are interested in learning more about how working together can help you reach your goals, contact me for a free consultation. Consultations are done by phone, take about 15 minutes and give us a chance to see if we would be a good fit to work together.
